The Summer Fete and Dog Show is an invaluable opportunity to fundraise for some of Waltham St Lawrence and Shurlock Row’s key focal points, all of whom benefit hugely from donations.

The Cricket Club – Our village cricket team plays in Division One of the Berkshire Cricket League, while our T20 team plays in a Midweek League every Wednesday. As well as regular matches and weekly nets practice, the Cricket Club – which also plays home to the Summer Fete and Dog Show – is a hub of village life for sporting enthusiasts and spectators alike.

Waltham St Lawrence Primary School – For more than 100 years the village school has played an integral role in the life of Waltham St Lawrence and Shurlock Row. Do look out for the stands run by the school’s PTA and help support our wonderful primary school!

Waltham St Lawrence Parish Church – In the heart of the village, our beautiful church dates back to before the 13th century. As well as regular weekly services, a wonderful choir and a fantastic set of bells, the church plays host to an array of major events on a regular basis, from weddings, christenings and funerals to choral and orchestral concerts.

The Neville Hall – Next door to the Church, is our Village Hall. The Neville Hall plays host to all manner of events every day of the week, from Weddings to playgroups and art classes, not forgetting the monthly St Lawrence Café, a Sunday morning breakfast open to all
